Glossop North End players talk to their supporters after being defeated 8-0 by FC United of Manchester in a North West Counties division one match at United's home stadium, Gigg Lane, home to Bury FC. The match was staged on People United Day, an event started in 1999 which brought together fans from across Europe to campaign against racism. FC United were formed in the summer of 2005 by supporters of Manchester United in response to the take over of their club by American millionaire Malcolm Glazer and his family. A fan of Glasgow Rangers sleeping on a road in the centre of Manchester as supporters gather to watch the UEFA Cup final against Zenit St. Petersburg on a large screen in Albert Square, the location of one of the UEFA Fan Zones. The match was staged at the City of Manchester Stadium and was won by the Russian team by two goals to nil. Home club supporters on the terracing watching the first-half action at Garden Walk Stadium, during the FA Vase 4th round tie between Gornal Athletic (in yellow) from Dudley in the West Midlands and visitors Wisbech Town. Gornal, from the Midland Alliance and appearing for the first time at this stage of the tournament, defeated Wisbech, who play in the Eastern Counties League, by 4-2 after extra-time, after the visitors had lead two-nil after 10 minutes.   • Faroe Islands 0 Scotland 2, 06/06/2007. European Championship Qualifier. Faroese supporters cheering on their team as the Faroe Islands take on Scotland in a Euro 2008 group B qualifying match at the Svangaskard stadium in Toftir. The visitors won the match by 2 goals to nil to stay in contention for a place at the European football championships which were to be held in Switzerland and Austria in the Summer of 2008.   • The New Saints 4 Bohemians 0, 20/07/2010. Park Hall Stadium, Champions League 2nd qualifying round 2nd leg. Supporters of Irish club Bohemians making their way out of the ground at Park Hall Stadium, Oswestry at the end of their team's Champions League 2nd qualifying round 2nd leg game away to The New Saints. Despite leading 1-0 from the first leg, the Dublin club went out following their 4-0 defeat by the Welsh champions. The match was the first-ever Champions League match in the UK played on an artificial pitch and was staged at the Welsh Premier League's ground which was located over the border in England.
