The match was boycotted by a section of the home support critical of the role of owner Mike Ashley and sponsorship by a payday loan company.   • No spectators sign. Hallam 3 Brigg Town 2, Northern Counties East League Division One, at Sandygate. After heavy rain, the pitch was declared playable after volunteers worked on it, on the morning of the game. Hallam won 3-2 to go top of the division in front of a record crowd of 1128.

  • Boldmere St. Michaels 2 Worcester City 2, 16/10/2021. The Tom Brown Memorial Ground, Midland Football League Premier Division. The home club were formed in 1883 and have played in local and regional football ever since, whilst the visitors were formerly one of the leading non-League clubs in England before a move from their St. George's Lane ground in 2013 started a downward spiral in their fortunes. The first game of the season, and the first time fans were allowed into St James Park since the Coronavirus pandemic. 50,673 people watched West Ham come from behind twice to secure a 2-4 win.

Stocksbridge Park Steels were born from the works team of the local British Steel plant that dominates the town north of Sheffield.<br />
Having missed out on promotion via the play offs in the previous season, Stocksbridge were hovering above the relegation zone in Northern Premier League Division One East, as they lost 0-2 to Pickering Town. Stocksbridge finished the season in 13th place.

  • Welcome to Blackwell Meadows sign, by the tunnel. Darlington 1883 v Southport, National League North, 16th February 2019. The reborn Darlington 1883 share a ground with the town's Rugby Union club. <br />
After several years of relegations, bankruptcies, and ground moves, the club is fan owned, and back on an even keel in the National League North.<br />
A 0-0 draw with Southport was marred by a broken leg and dislocated knee suffered by Sam Muggleton, Darlington's on loan left back.<br />
Both teams finished the season in lower mid table.

  • Penrith sign on the main stand. Penrith AFC V Hebburn Town, Northern League Division One, 22nd December 2018. Penrith are the only Cumbrian team in the Northern League. All the other teams are based across the Pennines in the north east.<br />
Penrith, winless at kick off, lost a thriller 3-4, in front of 100 people. They won five games all season, but were reprieved from relegation following Blyth's resignation from the league.

The match was one of six attended by members of GroundhopUK over the weekend to accommodate groundhoppers, fans who attempt to visit as many football venues as possible. Around 100 fans in two coaches from England participated in the 2016 Lowland League Groundhop and they were joined by other individuals from across the UK which helped boost crowds at the six featured matches.
