Supporters of Irish club Bohemians making their way to their seats at Park Hall Stadium, Oswestry before their team's Champions League 2nd qualifying round 2nd leg game away to The New Saints. Despite leading 1-0 from the first leg, the Dublin club went out following their 4-0 defeat by the Welsh champions. The match was the first-ever Champions League match in the UK played on an artificial pitch and was staged at the Welsh Premier League's ground which was located over the border in England.   • 16.09.2008 Leek, England. Fans in the main stand watching Leek Town playing against Clitheroe in an FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round replay at Harrison Park, Leek. The first match ended in a one-all draw but it was Clitheroe who progressed to the next round winning the replay one-nil, despite having a man sent off in the second half. The home club were formed in 1890 and have played at their current ground since 1974, this being their second opportunity to gain promotion to the National League for the first time. Having missed out on promotion via the play offs in the previous season, Stocksbridge were hovering above the relegation zone in Northern Premier League Division One East, as they lost 0-2 to Pickering Town. Stocksbridge finished the season in 13th place.

  • Gornal Athletic 4 Wisbech Town 2, 02/02/2013. Garden Walk Stadium, FA Vase 4th round. The home team's reserve goalkeeper sitting in the dugout while supporters in the seats waiting for the match to start at Garden Walk Stadium, prior to the FA Vase 4th round tie between Gornal Athletic from Dudley in the West Midlands and visitors Wisbech Town. Gornal, from the Midland Alliance and appearing for the first time at this stage of the tournament, defeated Wisbech, who play in the Eastern Counties League, by 4-2 after extra-time, after the visitors had lead two-nil after 10 minutes. The FA Vase was a nationwide, non-League English football tournament for semi-professional clubs and the winner of this tie played away at Bodmin Town in the next round. Photo by Colin McPherson.

  • Fans making their way to  seats in The Chadwick Stand. Kilmarnock 2 Ayr United 0, Scottish Championship, August 2nd 2021. Following Kilmarnock's relegation in 2020-21, the first game of the new season is the Ayreshire Derby, the first league match between the teams in 28 years. Due to relaxation of Covid restrictions the match was played in front of a crowd of 3200 Kilmarnock fans. The game was shown live on BBC Scotland.

A member of staff disinfecting the home dugout seats before Fleetwood Town take on Plymouth Argyle in a League One fixture at Highbury Stadium. Originally formed in 1908, the current Fleetwood Town were reformed in 1997, gained six promotions in 10 years and have been in League One since 2014, and have played at their current ground since 1939.
