  • Gornal Athletic 4 Wisbech Town 2, 02/02/2013. Garden Walk Stadium, FA Vase 4th round. An elderly supporter of Wisbech Town taking a photograph on his mobile phone at Garden Walk Stadium, prior to their FA Vase 4th round tie at Gornal Athletic from Dudley in the West Midlands. Gornal, from the Midland Alliance and appearing for the first time at this stage of the tournament, defeated Wisbech, who play in the Eastern Counties League, by 4-2 after extra-time, after the visitors had lead two-nil after 10 minutes. The FA Vase was a nationwide, non-League English football tournament for semi-professional clubs and the winner of this tie played away at Bodmin Town in the next round. Photo by Colin McPherson.

  • A masked Kilmarnock fan recording ground on her phone. Kilmarnock 2 Ayr United 0, Scottish Championship, August 2nd 2021. Following Kilmarnock's relegation in 2020-21, the first game of the new season is the Ayreshire Derby, the first league match between the teams in 28 years. Due to relaxation of Covid restrictions the match was played in front of a crowd of 3200 Kilmarnock fans. The game was shown live on BBC Scotland.

  • An early arriver on his phone as Hebburn players inspect the pitch. Penrith AFC V Hebburn Town, Northern League Division One, 22nd December 2018. Penrith are the only Cumbrian team in the Northern League. All the other teams are based across the Pennines in the north east.<br />
Penrith, winless at kick off, lost a thriller 3-4, in front of 100 people. They won five games all season, but were reprieved from relegation following Blyth's resignation from the league.

  • Boldmere St. Michaels 2 Worcester City 2, 16/10/2021. The Tom Brown Memorial Ground, Midland Football League Premier Division. A spectator checking his phone during the first-half as Boldmere St. Michaels play Worcester City (in yellow) in a Midland Football League Premier Division match at the Trevor Brown Memorial Ground in Sutton Coldfield. The home club were formed in 1883 and have played in local and regional football ever since, whilst the visitors were formerly one of the leading non-League clubs in England before a move from their St. George's Lane ground in 2013 started a downward spiral in their fortunes. Worcester City won this match 2-0, with a double from Aaron Roberts, despite playing for an hour with 10 men, watched by a crowd of 169 spectators, mainly away fans. Photo by Colin McPherson.

The home club was founded in 1967 and has been known under its present name since 2005 and like their opponents are members of the North West Counties League. Formed in 1903, Mossley moved into their current ground in 1912 and have played there ever since. The Yorkshire International Football Association was formed in 2017 and accepted by CONIFA in 2018. Their first competative fixture saw them host Parishes of Jersey in the Heritage Cup at Ingfield stadium in Ossett. Yorkshire won 1-0 with a 93 minute goal in front of 521 people. After several years of relegations, bankruptcies, and ground moves, the club is fan owned, and back on an even keel in the National League North.<br />
A 0-0 draw with Southport was marred by a broken leg and dislocated knee suffered by Sam Muggleton, Darlington's on loan left back.<br />
Both teams finished the season in lower mid table.
