The home club were formed in 1883 and have played in local and regional football ever since, whilst the visitors were formerly one of the leading non-League clubs in England before a move from their St. George's Lane ground in 2013 started a downward spiral in their fortunes. The home team pose for a photograph with mascots at the Paisley2021 Stadium before Scottish Championship side St Mirren played Welsh champions The New Saints in the semi-final of the Scottish Challenge Cup for the right to meet Dundee United in the final. The competition was expanded for the 2016-17 season to include four clubs from Wales and Northern Ireland as well as Scottish Premier under-20 teams.   • Players and mascots take to the pitch. Yorkshire v Parishes of Jersey, CONIFA Heritage Cup, Ingfield Stadium, Ossett. Yorkshire's first competitive game. The Yorkshire International Football Association was formed in 2017 and accepted by CONIFA in 2018. Their first competative fixture saw them host Parishes of Jersey in the Heritage Cup at Ingfield stadium in Ossett. Yorkshire won 1-0 with a 93 minute goal in front of 521 people. Formed in 1878, the home team were relegated from the English Premier League the previous season and were aiming to close the gap on the visitors at the top of the table.
