The two teams line up ready to making their way onto the pitch at Garden Walk Stadium, prior to the FA Vase 4th round tie between Gornal Athletic (in yellow) from Dudley in the West Midlands and visitors Wisbech Town. Gornal, from the Midland Alliance and appearing for the first time at this stage of the tournament, defeated Wisbech, who play in the Eastern Counties League, by 4-2 after extra-time, after the visitors had lead two-nil after 10 minutes.   • Mossley 4 Pickering Town 1, 26/09/2020. Seel Park, Northern Premier League Division One North West. A visiting player receiving a caution from the referee during the first-half as Mossley take on Pickering Town (in yellow). Formed in 1903, Mossley moved into their current ground in 1912 and have played there ever since.   • The referee and his assistants arriving at Mount Pleasant before Marske United take on Billingham Synthonia in a Northern League division one fixture. Formed in 1956 in Marske-by-the-Sea, the home club had secured automatic promotion to the Northern Premier League two days before and were in the midst of a run of six home games in 10 days as they attempted to overtake Morpeth Town to win the league. They won this match 6-1 against already relegated Billingham, watched by a crowd of 196.

  • Dundee 0 Greenock Morton 1, 27/08/2011. Dens Park, Scottish League First Division. Dundee's centre forward Graham Bayne remonstrates with referee Frank McDermott during a Scottish League First Division match at Dens Park stadium against visitors Greenock Morton. The visitors won by one goal to nil watched by a crowd of 4,096. Dundee  stadium was situated on the same street as their city rival Dundee United, whose Tannadice Park ground was situated a few hundred yards away.

The match referee and his assistants enjoying a cup of team at the Throstle Nest, Farsley, West Yorkshire, home of Leeds United Ladies FC, on the day they played host to Nottingham Forest Ladies FC in an FA Premier League National Division fixture. The match ended in a one-all draw, watched by fewer than 50 spectators at the club's regular home ground. Kilmarnock 2 Ayr United 0, Scottish Championship, August 2nd 2021. Following Kilmarnock's relegation in 2020-21, the first game of the new season is the Ayreshire Derby, the first league match between the teams in 28 years. Due to relaxation of Covid restrictions the match was played in front of a crowd of 3200 Kilmarnock fans. The game was shown live on BBC Scotland.
