The match, between the teams occupying the top two places in the division, ended one-all in front of 1868 spectators, Hyde's largest home attendance in 15 years. Ewen Fields is used by Manchester City reserves for matches and has been rebranded in city's colours and with their sponsors advertising around the ground, with the club changing its name from Hyde United to the present one.
