Home team forward Ortega Deniran (number 9) celebrating his opening goal at the Commonwealth Stadium at Meadowbank during the Scottish Lowland League match between Edinburgh City and city rivals Spartans, which was won by the hosts by 2-0. Edinburgh City were the 2014-15 league champions and progressed to a play-off to decide whether there would be a club promoted to the Scottish League for the first time in its history.
