  • Lancaster City 0 FC Halifax Town 3, 15/10/2011, Giant Axe, FA Cup Third Qualifying Round. Lancaster City assistant manager Phil Brown adjusting a tactics board in the home dressing room prior to the club's FA Cup third qualifying round match against FC Halifax Town at Giant Axe, Lancaster. The visitors, who play two leagues above their hosts in the English football pyramid, won the ties by three goals to nil, watched by a crowd of 646 spectators.   • Gornal Athletic 4 Wisbech Town 2, 02/02/2013. Garden Walk Stadium, FA Vase 4th round. The home team warming up pre-match at Garden Walk Stadium, prior to the FA Vase 4th round tie between Gornal Athletic from Dudley in the West Midlands and visitors Wisbech Town. Gornal, from the Midland Alliance and appearing for the first time at this stage of the tournament, defeated Wisbech, who play in the Eastern Counties League, by 4-2 after extra-time, after the visitors had lead two-nil after 10 minutes. The FA Vase was a nationwide, non-League English football tournament for semi-professional clubs and the winner of this tie played away at Bodmin Town in the next round. Photo by Colin McPherson.

  • Gala Fairydean Rovers 3 Edinburgh City 3, 13/08/2013. Netherdale, Scottish Lowland Football League. Former Scotland internationalist and club ambassador John Collins, coaching youngsters on the pitch friar to Gala Fairydean Rovers' first home match in the Scottish Lowland Football League against Edinburgh City at Netherdale in Galashiels. Gala were formed in 2013 by an a re-amalgamation of Gala Fairydean and Gala Rovers, the two clubs having separated in 1908 and their ground in the Scottish Borders had one of only two stands designated as listed football stands in Scotland. Home team players taking part in a pre-match warm-up at the home of Tow Law Town, the Ironworks Road ground, before the club hosted Heaton Stannington in a Northern League division two fixture. It was the visitors first visit to Tow Law, having been promoted from the Northern Alliance last season.
