One of the backroom staff acting as a lineman at Millburn Park, Alexandria, as Vale of Leven (in blue) hosted Ashfield in a West of Scotland League Central District Second Division Junior fixture. Vale of Leven were one of the founder members of the Scottish League in 1890 and remained part of the SFA and League structure until 1929 when the original club folded, only to be resurrected as a member of the Scottish Junior Football Association after World War II. Wigan competed in the Premier League from 2005 to 2013. They won the 2013 FA Cup. The club also embarked on its first European campaign during the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League. The referee and his assistants leading the players on to the pitch at The Oval, Belfast before Glentoran hosted city-rivals Cliftonville in an NIFL Premiership match. Glentoran, formed in 1892, have been based at The Oval since their formation and are historically one of Northern Ireland's 'big two' football clubs.
