A group of ground staff keeping an eye on the second-half action as Motherwell play Dundee in a Scottish Premiership fixture at Fir Park.   • Morecambe 0 Plymouth Argyle 2, 25/03/2016. Globe Arena, League 2. Visiting fans celebrating their team's victory as Morecambe hosted Plymouth Argyle in a League 2 fixture at the Globe Arena. The stadium was opened in 2010 and replaced Morecambe's traditional home of Christie Park which had been their home since 1921, the year after their foundation. Plymouth won this fixture by 2-0 watched by 2,081 spectators, in a game delayed by 30 minutes due to traffic congestion affecting travelling Argyle fans.  Photo by Colin McPherson.

Trophy. The game ended in a goalless draw, watched by a capacity crowd of 2,092 which meant the visitors from Wales progressed by three goals to one to the competition's final at Wembley, where they would meet York City. A woman on a bicycle dressed in a Father Christmas suit waiting to cross a line of police officers in a closed-off street outside Fratton Park stadium before Portsmouth take on local rivals Southampton in a Championship fixture. Around 3000 away fans were taken directly to the game in a fleet of buses in a police operation known as the "coach bubble" to avoid the possibility of disorder between rival fans. The Trincomalee, an historic floating warship permanently moored in Hartlepool marina, provides the backdrop as a steward regulates the car parking at the Victoria Ground, Hartlepool, before the pre-season friendly between Hartlepool United and Middlesbrough. Hartlepool were relegated to League Two at the end of the 2012-13 season whilst their Teesside neighbours remained two divisions above them in the Championship.   • Cefn Druids AFC 1 Buckley Town 0, 12/04/2014. The Rock, Cymru Alliance league. A steward waiting for the crowd to arrive at The Rock, Rhosymedre, home to Cefn Druids AFC, prior to the club's final home game of the season against Buckley Town in the Cymru Alliance league. Druids, reputedly the oldest football club in Wales, won the Alliance league the previous week and were awarded the trophy after the Buckley Town match, which they won by 1 goal to nil, watched by a crowd of 246.
