Home players celebrating Stevie Gordon's winning goal at The Oval, Belfast as Glentoran host city-rivals Cliftonville in an NIFL Premiership match. Glentoran, formed in 1892, have been based at The Oval since their formation and are historically one of Northern Ireland's 'big two' football clubs.   • Bala Town 3 FC Differdange 4, 03/08/2015. Belle Vue, Europa League. Visiting coaches and substitutes jumping in celebration at their team's decisive goal during the Europa League first qualifying round, second leg tie between Bala Town from Wales and FC Differdange 03 of Luxembourg. It was the Welsh club's second season of European competition, and due to ground regulations the match was played at nearby Belle Vue, home of Rhyl FC. The visitors won the tie 4-3 on aggregate due to a last-minute away goal by Omar Er Rafik, in a game watched by 1039 fans and progressed to play Turkish giants Trabzonspor in the next round. Home supporters celebrating their team's second goal at the Mersey Travel Arena, home to Marine Football Club, as they played host to Ilkeston FC in a Northern Premier League premier division match. The match was won by the home side by 3 goals to 1 and was watched by a crowd of 398. Marine are baed in Crosby, Merseyside and have played at Rossett Park (now the Mersey Travel Arena)  since 1903, the club having been formed in 1894.  Photo by Colin McPherson.

The club replaced Halifax Town A.F.C. who went into administration during the 2007–08 season, having previously been members of the Football League for 80 years. Dejected fans of Glasgow Rangers in the centre of Manchester watching the UEFA Cup final against Zenit St. Petersburg on a large screen in Albert Square, the location of one of the UEFA Fan Zones. The match was staged at the City of Manchester Stadium and was won by the Russian team by two goals to nil. Druids, reputedly the oldest football club in Wales, won the Alliance league the previous week and were awarded the trophy after the Buckley Town match, which they won by 1 goal to nil, watched by a crowd of 246. Scotland fans behind the goal celebrating Shaun Maloney's opening goal from a free-kick as Faroe Islands take on Scotland in a Euro 2008 group B qualifying match at the Svangaskard stadium in Toftir. The visitors won the match by 2 goals to nil to stay in contention for a place at the European football championships which were to be held in Switzerland and Austria in the Summer of 2008. It was the first time Scotland had won in the Faroes, the previous two matches ended in draws.

  • Gornal Athletic 4 Wisbech Town 2, 02/02/2013. Garden Walk Stadium, FA Vase 4th round. Home manager Ian Rowe and defender Pete Wood celebrating the club's decisive fourth goal at Garden Walk Stadium, during the FA Vase 4th round tie between Gornal Athletic (in yellow) from Dudley in the West Midlands and visitors Wisbech Town. Gornal, from the Midland Alliance and appearing for the first time at this stage of the tournament, defeated Wisbech, who play in the Eastern Counties League, by 4-2 after extra-time, after the visitors had lead two-nil after 10 minutes. The FA Vase was a nationwide, non-League English football tournament for semi-professional clubs and the winner of this tie played away at Bodmin Town in the next round. Photo by Colin McPherson.
