85 imagesHucknall lost a keenly contested game 0-1 to local rivals Heanor. Hucknall town were formed as Hucknall Colliery welfare, a works team for the local pit in 1943. They renamed in 1987 after the end of mining in Hucknall. Hucknall won the Northern Premier League premier Division in 2004, but were refused entry to the Conference as Watnall Road did not meet the ground requirements. The club was relegated from the Conference North in 2009. Financial problems lead to them being relegated again in 2013, three levels to Central Midlands League South Division. However Hucknall won Central Midlands League South in 2019. Hucknall plan to move to a new ground, pending the sale of Watnall Road to LIDL.
